Porterville is making history as being home to the only CBD store, selling strictly CBD products, in Tulare County. And paving the way for Porterville’s future in the CBD industry is Steve Penn and Kerry Douglas, who have partnered together to open the doors of their store, Central Valley Pure CBD.
“We are the only licensed CBD store in Tulare County,” said Douglas. “We are dedicated to providing top quality products that contain the best sources of hemp CBD.”
Despite common misconception, the properties of CBD aren’t equivalent to the properties of THC. In recent years, CBD has gained popularity due to its potential benefits, such as pain relief and medical ailments.
A focus of Central Valley Pure CBD is to educate the public, especially CBD consumers. Inside the store are several large kiosks containing all of the store’s products on shelves. Customers can approach the kiosk and scan different items, and information will come up on the screen regarding the product’s ingredients, properties and effects.
“We want people to know what they are taking,” said Douglas. “Education is important to us. Central Valley Pure CBD is passionate about delivering all natural, proven relief and preventive solutions that can improve every day life.”
The products displayed in the store range from everything between tattoo cream to dog treats, and every single item contains CBD in different doses. There’s massage lotions, pain relief creams, gummy treats, honey sticks, tinctures, and more. Central Valley Pure CBD is also its own brand.
Penn has been working with a company called Medical Mary to formulate his own product to ensure it’s made in the USA and of high quality. Some products by Medical Mary can be found in-store, but a goal of the new local company is to eventually only stock its shelves with Central Valley Pure CBD products.
Although the shelves are pretty full right now, Central Valley Pure CBD is planning to expand its choices by adding beauty products to their line of available items. A delivery service and online shopping will be available in the near future. Penn also has plans to test his hand in the water market by placing CBD water vending machines throughout the county.
The Central Valley Pure CBD store has been waiting to open for business for several weeks while perfecting last minute setbacks, and now the time for the grand opening is here. Penn and Douglas will be celebrating the official opening of the store with their own ribbon cutting ceremony this Friday, September 13, at 11 a.m.
“Come in and get CBD educated,” said Penn and Douglas.
