The growing demand for CBD products has already seen craft brewers incorporate Cannabidiol into their beers, but now it’s happening the other way around.
North Loop-based CBD producer and retailer Stigma has announced a collaboration with another North Loop business, Modist Brewing, that will see a CBD oil created that tastes like beer.
Called Dream Oil, the CBD tincture has been infused with hops from Modist’s popular Dreamyard IPA.
Stigma’s owner Josh Maslowski, who described the oil as “offering the flavor notes of the Dreamyard IPA and the value of CBD,” said: “Collaborating with one of Minnesota’s most innovative microbreweries made this project a lot of fun and we can’t wait to share it with people who are turning to CBD for relief.”
CBD products, which use cannabidiol taken from the hemp plant – a recently legalized crop – have become increasingly popular as they can ease the symptoms of health complaints such as anxiety, depression, heart disease and even cancer, without the psychoactive elements you’d commonly find in marijuana.
Stigma notes that its new product is entirely Minnesota grown, with companies involved in its production including Budding Acres, Hemp Acres, and BZ Sciences, along with Modist.
The tincture will be available as a 500mg 1oz. serving, which will be on sale at Modist and Stigma, while the company is planning a 6oz. “CBD Growler” for the holidays.
